Room Service part 1 : Raul

Bonjour, j’espère que vous allez bien. Voici un nouveau projet en 4 parties… “Room Service”!

Pour ce projet, j’ai choisi Barcelone comme décor, non
seulement pour son atmosphère vibrante, mais aussi pour la facilité qu’offrait
un hôtel en tant que lieu de shooting. Plutôt que de multiplier les
déplacements, j’ai préféré créer un espace unique où les modèles viendraient à
moi, permettant une immersion totale dans l’univers que je voulais capturer.
Cette unité de lieu me fascinait : observer comment chaque modèle allait
s’approprier le même décor, transformer son énergie et son corps en réponse à
l’espace. Raul a été le premier à entrer dans ce jeu, donnant le ton à une
série où sensualité, présence et matière allaient s’entrelacer dans une mise en
scène aussi intime que captivante.

Hello, I hope you’re well. Here’s a new 4-part project… “Room Service!

For this project, I chose Barcelona as the setting, not only
for its vibrant atmosphere, but also for the ease of using a hotel as a
shooting location. Rather than multiplying travel, I preferred to create a
unique space where the models would come to me, allowing total immersion in the
universe I wanted to capture. This unity of place fascinated me: observing how
each model would appropriate the same setting, transforming her energy and body
in response to the space. Raul was the first to enter this game, setting the
tone for a series in which sensuality, presence and material would intertwine
in a staging as intimate as it was captivating.

Barcelone, ville de contrastes et de sensualité, a offert le
cadre parfait pour ce shooting. Dans l’ambiance feutrée d’une chambre d’hôtel,
entre lumière tamisée et reflets sur le parquet ciré, nous avons exploré une
mise en scène à la fois élégante et audacieuse. Raul, modèle au charisme
magnétique, s’est prêté au jeu avec une aisance naturelle. Dès les premières
prises, il a su habiter l’espace, s’appropriant chaque recoin de la chambre
avec une gestuelle fluide et instinctive. Vêtu d’un pull entrouvert, il a
commencé par s’abandonner au confort du lit, jouant avec les draps, laissant
son regard effleurer l’objectif avec une intensité maîtrisée.

Au fil du shooting, la mise en scène s’est épurée. Les
vêtements se sont défaits, révélant une peau subtilement mise en valeur par
l’éclairage, sculptant chaque courbe et chaque muscle. Loin d’être une simple
déconstruction vestimentaire, ce moment traduisait une montée en tension, une
invitation à la contemplation.

Barcelona, a city of contrasts and sensuality, provided the
perfect setting for this shoot. In the hushed atmosphere of a hotel room, with
subdued lighting and reflections on the waxed parquet floor, we explored a
staging that was both elegant and daring. Raul, a model with magnetic charisma,
lent himself to the game with natural ease. From the very first takes, he
inhabited the space, making every corner of the room his own with fluid,
instinctive gestures. Dressed in a slightly half-open sweater, he began by
abandoning himself to the comfort of the bed, playing with the sheets, letting
his gaze graze the lens with controlled intensity.

As the shoot progressed, the staging became more
streamlined. Clothes came off, revealing skin subtly enhanced by lighting,
sculpting every curve and muscle. Far from being a simple deconstruction of
clothing, this moment reflected a rise in tension, an invitation to
contemplation rather than provocation.

Dans un moment de pure sensualité, Raul a laissé glisser son
pull le long de son corps, jouant avec la matière comme un prolongement de
lui-même. Le tissu, d’abord accroché à ses épaules, effleurait sa peau au
rythme de ses mouvements, créant un jeu subtil entre douceur et tension. Il
frottait lentement son torse contre la laine, explorant chaque sensation,
laissant transparaître une intensité presque hypnotique. Ce contact entre le
textile et sa peau ajoutait une dimension tactile à la séance, capturant une
sensualité brute, à la fois instinctive et raffinée.

In a moment of pure sensuality, Raul let his sweater slide
down his body, playing with the material as an extension of himself. The
fabric, initially clinging to his shoulders, brushed against his skin as he
moved, creating a subtle interplay between softness and tension. He slowly
rubbed his torso against the wool, exploring every sensation, revealing an
almost hypnotic intensity. This contact between the textile and his skin added
a tactile dimension to the session, capturing a raw sensuality that was both
instinctive and refined.

C’est à ce moment-là qu’une idée a traversé l’esprit de
Raul, il m’a glissé « ce serait drôle que quelqu’un soit derrière ce mur et
s’acoquine avec moi », pas bête car je n’y ai vraiment pas pensé et cela
m’a servi de fil conducteur tout au long de ce séjour photographique. Raul, par
chance a été le premier modèle me permettant de rester constant à cette idée
sur le reste des shootings. J’ai cherché à capturer cette tension invisible,
cette sensation troublante d’être observé sans jamais voir, de ressentir une
présence sans jamais la confirmer. À travers mon objectif, Raul incarnait cette
ambiguïté, oscillant entre abandon et conscience du regard caché, donnant aux
images une intensité encore plus électrique.

It was at this point that an idea crossed Raul’s mind, and
he said to me, “It would be funny if someone was behind this wall and got
involved with me”, which I really didn’t think of, and which served as a
guideline throughout my photographic sojourn. As luck would have it, Raul was
the first model to help me stick to this idea for the rest of the shoot. I sought
to capture this invisible tension, this unsettling sensation of being observed
without ever seeing, of feeling a presence without ever confirming it. Through
my lens, Raul embodied this ambiguity, oscillating between abandon and
awareness of the hidden gaze, giving the images an even more electric
intensity.

C’est contre un mur texturé que la séance a atteint son
apogée. Raul, dans un jeu de contrastes entre force et abandon, a laissé son
corps glisser contre la surface froide, offrant une dualité saisissante entre
la dureté du décor et la sensualité du mouvement. Chaque cliché capturait une
émotion brute, un instant suspendu où l’esthétisme rencontrait la spontanéité.

Mais ce shooting avec Raul n’est que le début d’un projet
plus vaste. Trois autres modèles viendront à leur tour s’approprier cet espace,
chacun apportant son énergie, son rapport au corps et à l’intimité, bientôt
José, Abel et Daniel seront de la partie. Mais au-delà de leurs individualités,
ces séances ne seront pas de simples portraits isolés : elles s’entrelaceront,
se répondront, créant un récit visuel où chaque image sera un écho à la
précédente. Un fil invisible les reliera, formant une histoire complète, une
exploration de la sensualité et de la présence dans un même lieu. J’ai hâte de
voir comment ces connexions prendront vie à travers mon objectif. Bienvenue

The session reached its climax against a textured wall. In a
play of contrasts between strength and abandon, Raul let his body slide against
the cold surface, offering a striking duality between the hardness of the decor
and the sensuality of the movement. Each shot captured a raw emotion, a
suspended moment where aesthetics met spontaneity.

But this shoot with Raul is only the beginning of a larger
project. Three other models will in turn make this space their own, each
bringing his or her own energy, relationship to the body and intimacy. Soon
José, Abel and Daniel will be on board. But beyond their individuality, these
sessions will not be mere isolated portraits: they will interweave, respond to
each other, creating a visual narrative in which each image will echo the
previous one. An invisible thread will connect them, forming a complete story,
an exploration of sensuality and presence in the same place. I can’t wait to
see how these connections come to life through my lens. Welcome to “Room
